Almost every flag that fails does so at the pole, not the fabric. A pole that cannot rotate lets the flag wrap itself around the mast on the first gusty day, and once it has wrapped it stays wrapped until somebody walks out and unwinds it.

Our kits use a swivel joint at the base so the whole assembly turns into the wind and the flag streams instead of binding. The upper sections are fibreglass, which flexes and springs back rather than taking a permanent bend, and the lower sections are anodised aluminium for stiffness where the load is highest.

Sections are joined with internal shock cord, so a kit unfolds and locks in about twenty seconds and packs down into a bag one person can carry. Every section is sold individually, because the one that breaks is usually the same one.
